A townhouse project fronting the Peticodiac River sets a new standard for multifamily dwellings in Moncton.
Unlike other current projects in Moncton, each suite has its own entrances and all our ground oriented, allowing children to play outside while in close proximity to home.
My client phoned me ”John, I've bought a church! Come See!”
The congregation for the Whonnock Church were in their eighties and older and decided to sell their church.
John’s first concept foe the church and manse entailed turning the church into a workshop and display space for an artistic commune and building five small housees foe artists on the rest of the site. Unfortunately our septic engineer found only enough percolage for three houses on the site, which nixed that idea.
So we conceived of turning the church and manse into houses with room for a third. But who would want to share a strata title with someone who would like to live in a church Well – someone equally as funky. Historically churches have been completed by bell towers –Italian campanile. And so a bell tower completes the composition on the sitd.
The tower house sits well among the tall fir trees on the site and at the level of the kichen patio affords grat views of the Fraser River. A grand two storey space makes a great place to spend the quiet winter months.
